Luca Bendandi was
born in Romagna, land
of freaks, geniuses,
and crazy folk. He kept
a healthy balance up
until university, when
he abandoned water
polo and started
dedicating himself
to all of social life’s
derivations. He loves
art, beauty (especially
if feminine), and rock
and roll. A strong
opposer of nuclear
energy, he adores
tomatoes and cooking.
When he realized that
designers weren’t
prized (or paid) in his
native provincial town
he decided to discover
the world, working
with Estudi Mariscal
in Barcelona, Vincent
de Rijk in Rotterdam,
and Mario Piazza in
Milan. In between his
European roaming he
found the time to found
two magazines alongside
fellow designer Gianluca
Achilli:
Coolissimo
and
quiNDI
. He is now art
director for
Rutas del
Mundo
and
Penthouse
Spain
; the latter
assignment makes
all his friends happy.
