E-Book in All Formats

The CD that accompanies this book also contains electronic versions of the book. You can copy any of these files to your computer and read them with the appropriate desktop reader or a portable device.

Mobi

This is Amazon’s format for e-books. You can read it on your computer with Kindle Reader for PC or Mac (available for download at www.amazon.com/gp/kindle/kcp). To read the book on a Kindle, copy the PRC file to your computer, and then transfer it to the DOCUMENTS folder on the Kindle via USB. The book should appear normally on your list of books. You can download a Kindle Reader app to many non-Kindle devices as well.

This format is accepted on most reading devices, including the Nook and the iPad. You can read it on your computer with Adobe Digital Editions (available for download at www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/). To read the book on your portable device, copy the EPUB file to your computer, and then transfer it to the appropriate folder on the device via USB. Copy the PDF file to your computer, and from there you can transfer it via USB to a device. For an iPad, you will need to have iTunes installed on your computer. Most readers come with basic PDF-reading apps already installed, but better ones are usually available for download at the appropriate app store.
