The goal of the color management process is to interpret and reproduce colors consistently in every step of the workflow. An entirely correct representation of colors is not possible, since each device creates colors differently and therefore the color gamut of the devices used can visibly differ. It is a goal of color management to adjust the gamut as closely as possible.
