Managing Other People’s Posts

It is also possible in Google+ to manage (albeit in a limited way) other people’s posts. Click on the small gray arrow to the right of any post in your Stream to view the following options (as shown in Figure 6-20):

+ Link to this post. Click this option to reveal a pop-up box with a URL linking directly to the post. This can be shared via email or on other social networking sites. If you want to share the post in Google+, it’s easier to click Share below the post.

+ Report abuse. Click this option to report a post to Google. Four options are available: Spam, Nudity, Hate speech or violence, and Copyright. Choose the appropriate option and click Submit.

+ Mute this post. Click this option to remove the post from your Stream. This doesn’t delete the post or remove it from other people’s Streams. But it does ensure you can no longer see it.

+ Block this person. Click this option to block the person from your Google+ account.

While these options are more limited than for your own posts, they ensure you have some control over the content appearing in your Stream.
