Discovering “What’s Hot” Information
Probably the best way to get started looking at news on Google+ is to use the What’s hot feature.
Click What’s hot in the left-hand column of the home page. This automatically brings up a list of popular posts in the Stream that Google+ users are +1ing, sharing, and commenting on (as shown in Figure 9-1). It’s a great way to quickly see what’s going on in the world beyond your Circles.

You can comment on stories, share them on your own Stream, and +1 the ones you like.
Can I Customize the What’s Hot News? Not really. What’s hot is designed to show what’s popular on Google+ rather than reflect your own interests and tastes. You can use search tools (which I discuss later in the chapter) to find more personalized content.
