Keyboard Shortcuts
Learning to use keyboard shortcuts can make your Google+ experience a lot better. You can use keyboard shortcuts to move quickly around posts and write comments without having to reach for the mouse. Shortcuts make your Google+ experience faster and more fun.
Here are some keyboard shortcuts you should become familiar with:
+ J and K. Use J and K keys to move up and down through posts.
+ Tab and Enter. Press Enter to open a post and start writing a comment. Press Tab and Enter (or Return on a Mac) again to click the Post comment button.
+ Arrow keys. You can also use the arrow keys to navigate up and down the Google+ notifications. Pressing left and right also drills in and out of notification details. It is also possible to use J, K, and Enter to navigate notifications (although I find using the arrow keys easier).
+ Spacebar and Shift+spacebar. You can scroll up and down the Stream (as with most web browsers) by pressing the spacebar to go down and Shift+spacebar to move up.
+ @ and +. You can quickly mention a person in a post by typing @ or + and then a name. Choose the right person from the pop-up menu (as shown in Figure 14-11). The person appears in your post as a clickable link to his profile.
Getting to know these shortcuts enables you to use Google+ a bit faster and have more fun.
