Objective/usefulness: To create on-the-fly Filters with the existing Report data. Proceed as follows:
- Open the View menu | View Filter. A section will open above the Page-by field.
- Drag and drop Month of the Year to the View Filter | select In list | Select Elements | select January, February and March elements | OK | if Auto-Apply changes is not checked, click Apply.
This type of Filter is also local to the Report and, similar to the derived Metrics, it won't cause a SQL but instead will be calculated in memory by the Intelligence Server Analytical Engine.
