Tilted pie charts tend to give more
prominence to the data in the fore-
ground. Also, the same color should
represent the U.S. in both pie charts.
Depth here serves no purpose. In
fact, the depth can visually skew the
data. A color distinction was used to
emphasize the big take-away—the
year they crossed the $30B mark.
Using too many bold colors obscures
the focal point. Making the chart lon-
ger horizontally helps emphasize the
dominant growth of Company 1.
