About the Authors

Randy Williams is a senior architect and trainer for Synergy. He has over 20 years of eclectic IT experience and for the past 15 years has been architecting and developing Microsoft-based solutions. He has a master’s degree in information systems along with a number of certifications. From 2009 to 2011, he was awarded the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) in SharePoint. Randy writes for Windows IT Pro and SharePoint Pro magazines and speaks at conferences worldwide. Randy is now based in San Diego, having just relocated back to the U.S. after running Synergy’s Southeast Asia operations from Singapore. In his leisure, Randy enjoys spending time with his wife, Gigi. Together, they hike, travel, go to the beach, and like to watch scary movies together. And, sometimes, he enjoys reading a good, nontechnical book.

Milan Gross is a principal for Synergy. Beginning with the early days of Windows, Milan has worked with virtually every piece of Microsoft technology that has led to the evolution of what is today SharePoint. Milan has spent over 15 years delivering training and consulting on Microsoft technologies in the U.S., Australia, Singapore, India, and China. He has been an invited speaker at TechEd in Australia, China, and Malaysia and has spoken at numerous other SharePoint events around the world. He holds the MCSD, MCSE, MCDBA, and MCT certifications from Microsoft as well as a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Milan currently lives in Singapore where he heads the Asia Pacific region of Synergy and is deeply involved in the Microsoft community. In his spare time, Milan enjoys running, scuba diving, and spicy Asian cooking.
