This chapter focuses on the setup and configuration of the Enterprise Search functionality that is part of SharePoint Server 2010. We will also discuss configuring the related SharePoint Foundation Search Service. SharePoint 2010 also supports integration with the FAST for SharePoint 2010 server product (licensed and installed separately from SharePoint). FAST is not covered in detail, but we will briefly discuss how it compares with the SharePoint 2010 server search.
