Editing in the Outliner
Need to add a Label value, edit the title, or modify the Synopsis for an item? No need to change views, you can do it right from the Outliner:
Text fields: Double-click to select the text, and then type the new value.
Fields with values: Provide a drop-down list that offers value choices (for example, the Label or Status field). Figure 9-7 shows the Status field’s drop-down list.
The values in the drop-down list match those in the Inspector. You can even edit the values that appear right from the drop-down list. (For more on modifying the Label and Status fields, see Chapter 4.)
To apply the same Label (or Status) value to multiple items, select the desired items and right-click. Choose Label (or Status) from the contextual menu that appears, and then choose the desired value from the submenu.
Add a Keyword: To add one or more keywords from the Keywords panel (covered in Chapter 5), open the Keywords panel by clicking the Keywords button in the toolbar, and then drag the keyword(s) from the panel onto the desired file.
To apply the same keyword to more than one item, select the desired items in the Outliner, and then drag the keyword onto one of the selected items. The keyword is added to all selected items.
