In This Chapter
Viewing the Outliner
Customizing how the Outliner appears
Working in the Outliner
Printing your outline
If you’re like me, an outline makes you think of boring book reports from grade school. But in Scrivener, outlining can be fun and helpful. Want to see a hierarchical representation of your manuscript that includes metadata? The Outliner is what you’re looking for.
View your items and whatever combination of attributes (custom metadata, keywords, Label, Status) that you want. And unlike the Corkboard (covered in Chapter 8), you can easily view, edit, and move all levels of your documents in one screen.
This chapter outlines everything you need to know to get started with the Outliner.
