Chapter 7
Getting Rid of Distractions with Composition Mode
In This Chapter
Understanding Composition mode versus Mac’s full screen function
Accessing and working in Composition mode
Using the Inspector panel
Composition mode (called Full Screen mode in Windows) can’t take away the kids, the neighbor’s boring dog, or the guy mowing his lawn. It also can’t force you to turn off your e-mail, Twitter, or Facebook.
What Composition mode can provide is a distraction-free virtual workspace. (You’re on the hook for the babysitter and the noise-canceling headphones.)
This chapter shows you how to create a little spot of visual serenity in your hectic writing world — kind of like your own personal rock garden.
