Setting Word Count Goals and Checking Progress
In This Chapter
Using project and document targets
Understanding project statistics
Viewing text statistics
Keeping track of your productivity
Want to know how many words you added (or subtracted) from your draft today? Trying to meet a goal of 5,000 words by next Tuesday? Need to know how close you are to completing your 80,000-word manuscript?
Scrivener has several features that let you set targets and monitor your progress. In addition, you can look at statistics about your project or an individual document, including an estimated page count and a histogram of word frequency so that you can spot those overused words. (I don’t know about you, but the geek in me just got excited.)
This chapter shows you how to set your own targets, view the stats, and get a handle on your productivity.
