After creating the necessary deployment group(s), those deployment group(s) can be used in releases from the tasks view, as shown in the following screenshot:
To do this, perform the following steps:
- Add a new deployment group to the pipeline.
- Specify which deployment group the job should run on by picking it from the drop-down menu.
- Add one or more tasks to execute the job. The functionality of the user interface is the same as that for regular agent jobs.
Besides the different approaches to executing on all agents in a group instead of one, deployment group jobs behave the same as regular agent jobs.
