These nodes are the nodes that will run the containers. These can be virtual machines or even physical machines. On these machines, the so called kubelet is installed. kubelet is the agent that's used to run pods/containers within the nodes.

As you may have noticed in the preceding sections, there are also other core services within Kubernetes and we will discuss these next.
