In this chapter, you learned how to create workbooks and templates in which you can work smoothly and effectively. You now know how to create workbooks based on templates, how to choose the best file formats for saving them, and how to add property information to make the workbooks easier to identify. You can also create your own templates—basing them on existing workbooks or templates if needed.

We also looked at how to organize the worksheets in a workbook, how to lay out data logically, and how to enter data quickly on multiple worksheets at the same time. You saw how to identify parts of your worksheets quickly by creating named ranges and how to make a large worksheet manageable by outlining it.
