Basic concepts of MoveIt!

This section is an introduction to some basic concepts regarding ROS manipulation that we need to know in order to be able to fully understand the contents of the chapter.

Basically, we'll need to go through the following four main topics:

  • MoveIt
  • Motion planning
  • Perception
  • Grasping

So, as we've pointed out already, the first thing we'll need to know about is MoveIt.
