Here is what it is all about

Now that we have made it through the basics in the previous chapters and are getting into the more mid-level subjects, it is time to learn how we will put together all the elements we are learning. I went for a simple idea that incorporated everything we learned; Skeeball was the idea that came to my mind:

The view in the screenshot is temporary for now; throughout the rest of this book, everything we do will add to this project, or we will learn about something to add to this project.

Here are some of the things we will use for this project:

  • Input to control the angle and strength of the ball being thrown
  • UI menu system and scorekeeping
  • Sounds for scoring, atmosphere, and action
  • Spatial mapping for object placement
  • World Anchors for persistence and sharing
