The following provides a basic overview of App Volumes recovery. The following outlines the basic tasks that must be accomplished:

• If necessary, restore the Horizon vCenter Servers, and any other components of the Horizon infrastructure, including Horizon Connection Servers, desktops, and RDS servers
• Restore the AppStacks and Writable Volumes to their original locations
• Restore the App Volumes Manager servers

The steps will return most App Volumes installations to a fully functional state, assuming Horizon itself is functional. As previously mentioned, if the recovery is more complex, certain items may need to be reconfigured, or manually updated, either with the assistance of the App Volumes documentation or with VMware product support.
