Summary

Doing Qlik Sense data analytics in the cloud has been a bold statement in the last couple of years, but it's becoming more of a reality. While still in its infancy, Qlik Sense Cloud is making a lot of progress and improvements. The most significant concerns about where data resides and regulations are being tackled with the hybrid cloud. While old QlikView customers larger, and slower, organizations will still have their reservations about this new approach to deploying analytics, new Qlik customers, and smaller companies or projects will find the value propositions of the cloud-compelling, especially the prompt setup, the low up-front investment, and bypassing the necessity to invest in infrastructure.

In my personal opinion, Qlik Sense Cloud will eventually grow to become the go-to Qlik model for doing data analytics. There are just too many benefits, both technologically and economically, for doing so, and eventually, more and more customers will migrate. While, at the time of writing this, Qlik Sense Cloud is not only too expensive, but also lacks many basic features, such as the integration of custom-made extensions, it is quickly improving, and I'm confident it will become a game-changer for the existing Qlik ecosystem. Follow it closely!
