Now, you might have noticed that the properties.js file content utilizes a lot of uses properties. These are Qlik's default reusable objects and allow you to quickly add most common properties panel settings to your extensions.
dimensions include the following properties:
- Ability to add/remove dimensions as an array
- Define the dimension or add a calculated dimension
- Dimension label
- Checkbox to include null values
- Dimension limitation options
measures include the following properties:
- Ability to add/remove measures as an array
- Define the measure
- Measure label
- Measure formatting settings
sorting includes the following properties:
- The ability to define the sort order of the dimensions, with multiple options on sort types (numerically, alphabetically)
addons include the following properties:
- Calculation conditions, which specify whether the extension object is calculated based on a condition
- Show/hide zero values
settings provide you with a predefined General tab, which includes the following properties:
- Show/hide titles
- Title, subtitle, footnote
- Show/hide details
It's recommended to use those properties wherever possible to save time when developing your components.
