So far, we have seen variables that can be modified by the users. Those variables are called user-defined variables. 

Number interpretation variables, on the other hand, are system-defined variables which are automatically generated when a new application is created. 

The number interpretation variables are shown in the Data load editor in the section Main of the script. Even though these variables are automatically generated, they can be deleted or edited by the user. 

For example, if the Qlik Sense desktop you use to develop is in a region where thousands are separated by commas, you can still modify the variables for thousands to be separated by dots.
