As discussed previously, Master Items come in three different flavors:

• Dimensions
• Measures
• Visualizations

They can all be used individually and in isolation, but it is possible to combine visualization Master Items with dimensions or metrics. Nesting dimensions within other dimensions or within measures is not possible. The different types of Master Items are described as follows.
