These resource filters relate to apps and their content:

This is where it becomes very granular for app-specific use cases but powerful for governance purposes. Using this resource filter, you can disable the "Edit" button, the use of bookmarks/snapshots, and so on. Using App.Objects, you can also deactivate people accessing the load script, even on their apps. The types of App.Objects you can reference are:

| App.DataSegment | A representation of the data which will be loaded and used by the application | There is no clear use case on how to utilize this resource at this stage. It can be assumed that this will become more material in a future version of Qlik Sense where users will possibly be limited to the tables within the app's data model they will be allowed to view. |
| App.Internal | Parameters internal to and required by the application | This is specific to the engine and not relevant in the context of applying security rules yet. |
| Extension | The extensions installed in Qlik Sense | This controls who can access, view, and modify extensions uploaded on to the dev-hub in your Qlik Sense environment. It's important not to neglect to create a security rule limiting access to extensions in your production environment. Changing the code of an extension can have detrimental effects on all applications utilizing it. |
| Widgets | The widgets installed in Qlik Sense | The same as with the extensions resource, however, specific for widgets. |
| WebExtensionLibrary | The library of web extensions | There is not much information available on this, let alone practical use cases where it can be used. |
| DataConnection | The DataConnection resource |
Controls which data connections can be utilized by whom. This resource is vital for controlling who has access to what type of data. Especially with data connections to databases, the overview of the scope of data which can be read can easily be lost. Pay particular attention to the security rules of those data connections
