The RecNo() function returns the position of the source records and takes into account any where clause that may affect the number of records returned. 

RecNo() is particularly useful during debugging when we want to trace values back to the source.

This function works with the source table instead of the target logical table created in Qlik Sense. This means that the number returned by RecNo() will not be affected by any where clause.
