Namespace: qlik.app.selectionState(state)
The Selection API has not much to do with selections itself, but rather with selection states. Alternate states allow leveraging different selection states for a given app. This way, you could, for example, perform a comparative analysis of different selections. While a very prominent feature in QlikView, it's not as heavily promoted in Qlik Sense.
Its only method is QSelectionState, which allows you to create, retrieve, set, clear, and lock different alternate states.
