Another important activity performed once all the requirements are gathered is Fit-Gap analysis. A Fit-Gap analysis is basically used to understand the gap between business requirements and the proposed system. Based on the requirements collected, it validates whether or not the proposed system fits or does not fit the business requirements. All the gaps are documented, and an appropriate action plan is prepared to fill the gap. The Fit-Gap analysis process can be understood with the following diagram:
