In Dynamics 365, we can use two options out of the box to automate Dynamics 365 CE tasks: Workflow and Power Automate. Using Workflow can be very useful, especially for business users, and no technical knowledge is required to write workflows. Dynamics 365 CE provides an out-of-the-box workflow designer that we can use to create different workflow processes based on our requirements. Workflows are also associated with a specific event to trigger their logic. Similarly, we can create a Power Automate workflow from Dynamics 365 CE. We can use different connectors and work with multiple applications in a single Power Automate workflow. We will be discussing more on Dynamics 365 CE Workflow and Power Automate capabilities in Chapter 8, Integrating Dynamics 365 CE with Other Applications.

In this section in our document, we need to provide all of the possible workflow requirements for our Dynamics 365 CE implementation.

The sections are applicable to every Dynamics 365 CE implementation, but depending on the project, we can include some more details. For example, if we are going to use an automated solution release process, it should be included in this document. We can also include some details about the QA testing process.
