We can consider this field as a dropdown in traditional web applications, in which we have many options available. We can select one option, so this is a single selection field in which every option has a specific value and label. In earlier versions of Dynamics 365 CE, this field was known as a picklist. By using default values, the number sequence for the option set is dependent on the solution that we are using for our customization.
