This layer is hidden from Dynamics 365 CE users and is responsible for storing customer data and organization data for other layers. We can't make direct changes to Dynamics 365 CE databases (although it is technically possible, it is not supported, or documented in the Dynamics 365 CE SDK). Dynamics 365 CE has two main databases:

• The configuration database
• The organization database

Let's look at them in detail.
