Communication and Collaboration

These settings can be used to relate our entity with other entities and services, for better communication and collaboration. We have the following options available under these settings:

  • The Feedback option is used to capture feedback from the user for the entity record. For example, we can use this setting to capture customer service experiences with HIMBAP Auto Service Center in the Auto Service entity.
  • The Notes option is used as a free text area in an entity record, where we can also upload documents to our entity record.
  • The Activities option is used to allow activity support for our entity. If we want to create activity records related to our entity, we can select this option.
  • The Connections option is used if we want to relate our entity record with another entity.
  • The Sending Email option allows us to send emails to this entity. When this option is selected, an email field will be added to our entity.
  • The Mail Merge option is enabled if we want to use mail merge functionality with our entity.
  • The Document Management option is used to enable SharePoint integration for our entity.
  • The OneNote Integration option can be used to access Office 365 OneNote integration if we have enabled SharePoint integration.
  • The Access Teams option allows us to use lightweight access teams for our entity without using security roles. We can use Access Teams if we want to share our entity records with other users.
  • The Queues option can be used if we want to utilize queue functionality for our entity. Queues can be used for sharing purposes as well.
  • The Knowledge Management option is used to enable knowledge-base management for our entity. If this option is selected, we can associate knowledge-base articles with our entity.
  • The Enable for SLA option can be used to enable service-level agreement (SLA) support for our entity.

Some of the preceding options can't be disabled once enabled, so proper planning should be done to avoid any unnecessary relationships being created for our entity. If we are not sure about enabling any particular option at the time of the entity being created, it is recommended that we enable that option later on, after proper planning.
