The Microsoft Exchange Online Archive is the system that allows the end user to archive the emails that they do not need to keep online. This will store the user's older email in an Online Archive, which, as the name states, is only available if you have internet access to Office 365. For example, if you use the Outlook desktop and you have offline cache set to active for your primary mailbox, you will not have access to the archive if you are working offline, without internet access.
In Exchange Plan 2, you have unlimited storage in Exchange Online Archive.
To access the Exchange Online Admin center:
- Go to https://portal.office.com
- Select the Admin option
- On the Admin center, in the Admin centers section, select the Exchange option, as shown in the following screenshot:
- After connecting to Exchange Online admin, you will have access to a central place where you can manage the Exchange platform:
