Adopting Office 365

Following the best practice adoption rules is crucial for a successful Office 365 deployment. To have a successful project, you will need to adopt Office 365 workloads. When adopting Office 365 workload, you will need to have several phases based on best practices; those phases are represented in the following diagram:

This cycle can be used in the adoption phase at your organization. You can use this process in the full implementation of Office 365 or on a specific workload. Going deeper into the cycle of adoption of Office 365, it is suggested to use the process described as follows:

When you are facing an adoption project, it is advised to have a change management strategy:

  1. Set your approach and vision for each scenario that is needed
  2. Make a logical connection to your scenario and create an adoption plan
  3. Put your adoption plan into practice and measure it
  4. Make it a cycle of best use and share the successes
It is particularly important to define your success criteria and it is recommended that you choose your criteria based on success and end user satisfaction.

Use the SMART mnemonic. This term first appeared in the November 1981 issue of Management Review by George T. Doran, in a paper titled There's a S.M.A.R.T. way to write management's goals and objectives, to understand your success criteria better:
