Brand Analysis

Divide into teams of four or five. Each team should pick a different sports drink (such as Gatorade) or flavored water product (such as Vitamin Water).

Process

  1. Step 1. Determine what the target market is for your brand. Discuss the segmentation approaches used by your brand.

  2. Step 2. Discuss the marketing mix for your product.

  3. Step 3. Discuss the specific elements and tactics the company uses to communicate a brand’s message to prospective and current buyers.

  4. Step 4. Conduct a brief situational analysis for your brand.

  5. Step 5. Write a brief summary of your findings. What recommendations do you have for the brand based on your research and analysis?
