Hands-On Practice Task
Practice Task 1: Arduino Robot
Task 1
Build a car based on Arduino board. This car should have four tires and a motor that is con-
trolled by Arduino. For now, let’s just make this car move forward.
Task 2
Take this car model and add an ultrasonic sensor to detect obstacles. Program Arduino board
to get signal from this ultrasonic sensor. Based on this signal instruct the motor to stop and
reverse. This will make your car a little intelligent so it can avoid obstacles.
Task 3
Use this car model, which can now detect obstacles and re-position them in case of obstacles.
Now, add Sound Detection Sensor, which can detect any type of sound that is loud enough
for the sensor’s microphonesuch as door knocks and claps. Program Arduino board to act also
on this loud noise. If this sensor detects such noises it will change its course the same way it
behaves in case of obstacles.
