Perhaps, the best part of the framework is its seriousness with one of the toughest chal-
lenges of IoT—security. Azure IoT allows cybersecurity professionals to be part of the solution
where they can incorporate their security practices and protocols of threat intelligence solu-
tions with the framework. Unlike the lesser known IoT frameworks, Azure’s name means that
Microsoft is able to address and meet all the regulatory requirements related to IoT. This also
includes the newly-announced GDPR which has put many businesses in a bind.
Eclipse IoT
Eclipse IoT consists of a plethora of tools. These tools are continuously updated by industry and
academic professionals to power an IoT framework that provides open source technologies.
Therefore, the main objective of the foundation is to work on the production of open source
IoT implementations. On one hand, IoT solutions for industry are generated while on the other
hand, eorts are being done to provide developers with advanced development tools.
One example of the framework’s application is its SmartHome services. As the name
suggests, the service is focused to revolutionize home automation by keeping in mind
the unique aspects of each home and incorporating IoT protocols accordingly. By using
