Why Configure?

Configuration is a big part of any CRM system because there is always a need to modify the way the system works to match the way the organization using it does business. Configuration is something that is done as a part of the initial implementation and is ongoing as the business changes and evolves.

Ideally, your organization should create a steering committee of power users from all areas of the company. This group should meet on a regular basis and discuss how the system is serving them and what changes they need to ensure that the system keeps pace with the business model. Meeting as a group ensures that the changes of one team do not affect the operations of another.
