In the definition phase of the project, the implementation team should address the following milestones:

• Business scenarios and processes: These are the list of processes defined in a hierarchical format.
• End-to-end process flows: These are all end-to-end information flow diagrams/visuals showing the start and end of a full cycle, for example, record to report, order to cash, and procure to pay.
• Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM): This is a matrix to maintain all requirements for tracking and closure purposes.
• As-is business flows: These are existing business flow visuals.
• To-be business flows: These are future state business flow visuals.
• Solution blueprint: This should represent the big picture of the solution meeting business needs.

After defining the scope, the implementation team should analyze each requirement in the analysis phase.
