As the name suggests, the column definition defines columns in the financial reports. Column definitions are mapped with the financial period to display monthly, quarterly, or yearly data trends. The column definition also allows the user to define column formatting and calculations:

As shown in the preceding screenshot, in the column definition, you can create a number of columns, just like you can in Excel, and suggest the type and date criteria, along with other attributes.
