In-product help

Another key feature that will help training go more smoothly is the in-product help system, which is built for new users who are learning the system. The in-product help system pulls articles from the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations site on https://docs.microsoft.com, as well as from task guides that are stored in the BPM in LCS.

The following screenshot shows the in-product Help button that is available on the right corner of the page. A user simply clicks on the Help button to access the task guides from the LCS – and articles from the public site – in the context of the user language and the form they are trying to get help on:

As shown in the screenshot, if the user is new and does not know how to create a free text invoice, they can simply open the free text invoices form and click on Help. This will bring up the Help pane and show Task Guides and wiki articles, all of which are related to free text invoices. Users can simply select the task guide that they need to be guided through, or access the knowledge article from the wiki page.
