Summary

In this chapter, you learned about the concepts behind One Version and how it is a game-changer for D365FO and has eliminated the tedious and painful task of upgrading the version every few years.

You also learned about service updates. Continuous service updates will keep your system up to date and provide you with the latest and greatest features available in D365FO products.

In this chapter, we also shared insight into the feature management workspace and how it can empower customers to enable/disable features based on business needs. Never before has something like this been available; with feature management, you can control the features available to your users.

Although Microsoft is making it easier and easier for users to apply service updates, nothing can replace a good testing/validation process. It doesn't matter how foolproof a service update is—it is up to you to make sure that service update is good for your business by doing thorough testing.

Microsoft is making improvements every day to all of its products and Dynamics 365 is no exception. Microsoft is very committed to the Dynamics 365 product suite. The Dynamics team at Microsoft is taking feedback from customers, partners, and ISVs to make D365FO more flexible and user friendly.

In this book, we have covered many topics related to D365FO, and a quick recap gives a chapter-wise snapshot of the topics covered in each chapter. We believe you should know these covered topics before implementing D365FO.
