Closing a notebook
OneNote 2013 makes it pretty easy to close a notebook. You simply close it when you’re through working on it. You don’t have to save a notebook before closing it, because OneNote saves changes as you work.
Close a notebook

In the Notebooks pane, right-click the name of the notebook you want to close.

On the shortcut menu that appears, click Close This Notebook.
The notebook is closed and its name is removed from the Notebooks pane.
