OneNote 2013 keeps back-copies of pages in case you want to revisit or restore an earlier version of a page. After you open a version of a page, you can restore it, making it the primary copy, or copy it to another section.
What’s more, you can delete a version of a page, or all the versions of pages in a section, section group, or an entire notebook. You can also instruct OneNote not to keep page versions in a notebook. On the History tab, you can click the Page Versions button to open a pane, in which you’ll find commands for deleting versions of a page in a section, section group, or notebook, and for disabling the back-copying of pages.
Open the page that you want to revisit.
On the ribbon, click the History tab.
In the History group, click Page Versions.
Select the tab of a page version that you want to review.
Click the Information bar to open the page version menu.
From the menu that appears, choose Restore Version.
On the ribbon, click Page Versions again (this button is a toggle, and clicking it again hides the page versions).
After you restore an earlier version of a page, the version that was formerly the current version is added to the page versions list so that you can restore it if need be.
To learn how to copy a version of a page to a different section (start by choosing Copy Page To), read Moving or copying pages.
On the ribbon, click the History tab.
In the History group, click Page Versions.
From the menu that appears, choose Delete All Versions In Section.
