Resetting your ribbon customizations

If you make a hash of the OneNote 2013 ribbon and want to start over, you can reset your customizations. By resetting your customizations, you get the default ribbon back, but you lose any new tabs, groups, or commands that you added to the ribbon.

Reset your ribbon customizations

  1. Right-click anywhere on the ribbon. On the shortcut menu that appears, click Customize the Ribbon.

Tip

You can also reset only the customizations you made to a particular tab on the ribbon. Select a tab name on the right side of the Customize The Ribbon dialog box, click Reset, and then choose Reset Only Selected Ribbon tab (or right-click the tab name and choose Reset Tab).

Caution

Resetting all customizations on the ribbon also resets any customizations that you made to the Quick Access Toolbar.
