You can create a link to another OneNote 2013 notebook so that you can click the link and instantly visit the other notebook. Linking to another notebook is a convenient way to go precisely where you want to go in the other notebook, because you can link to a specific section, page, or note.
After the link is created, all you have to do is click the link to open the other notebook. What happens when you click the link depends on whether the other notebook is open and whether your link goes to a specific page, section, or note:
Link to a closed notebook . The notebook opens to the first section, first page.
Link to an open notebook . The notebook opens to whatever page is currently open.
Link to a specific place (whether the notebook is open or closed) . The notebook opens to that section, page, or note.
You can create a link to another notebook in one of two ways: by right-clicking the target of the link and pasting the link into your note, or by using the Link dialog box.
Open the notebook to which you want to link. In the notebook in which you want to insert the link, in the Notebooks pane, right-click the destination notebook or section in the other notebook.
On the shortcut menu that appears, click Copy Link To Notebook or Copy Link To Section.
Go to the page where you want to paste the link.
Click on a page.
On the ribbon, click the Home tab.
In the Clipboard group, click Paste. The link is created. To activate the link, click it.
Make sure that the notebook to which you want to link is open.
Click on a OneNote page where you want to place the link. You can select text to use as the link if you want.
On the ribbon, click the Insert tab.
In the links group, click Link.
In the Link dialog box, in the Or Pick A Location In OneNote list box, select the notebook to which you want to link.
You can select a section or page in the notebook to link directly to it. (To display the pages in a section, click the plus sign adjacent to the section name.)
Click OK. The link is created. To activate the link, click it.
You can create your own link text by selecting the text that you want to use as the link before Step 5. Press Ctrl+K to make the text a hyperlink and then paste the link you copied.
Before you try to link to another notebook by using the Link dialog box, open the other notebook. The other notebook must be open for its name to appear in the Link dialog box.
