Creating page groups

A page and its subpages is called a page group. Create subpages in a page group to store information that is subordinate to information on a page. You can see which pages in a page group are the subpages because they are indented on the page tabs. As well as turning pages into subpages, you can turn subpages into pages.

Create a page group

  1. Right-click the page tab of the page that you want to be the first subpage in the page group.

  2. On the shortcut menu that appears, click Make Subpage.

    The page’s tab is indented to show that it is a subpage.

  3. Alternatively, drag the page tab of the page that you want to be a subpage to the right to create a subpage.

Try This

Right-click a subpage and then, on the shortcut menu that appears, choose Promote Subpage (or drag the subpage tab to the left) to turn the subpage into a page.

Tip

You can create sub-subpages. You can indent pages as far as necessary to organize them in different ways.
