Besides drawing free-form lines with a pen device, mouse, or your finger, you can draw straight lines, shapes, and graphs:
Straight lines . Draw lines, lines with arrows, and lines at 90-degree angles
Shapes . Draw rectangles, ovals, parallelograms, triangles, and diamonds
Graphs . Draw two and three-dimensional graphs
To draw a line, shape, or graph, start by choosing a pen and selecting the preset line, shape, or graph that you want to draw. Then, drag on the page to create the line, shape, or graph in the size you want.
On the ribbon, click the Draw tab.
In the Tools group, click the More drop-down arrow to open the Pens gallery. (If the pen you want is already visible, you can choose it without clicking the More arrow first.)
Choose a pen.
In the Insert Shapes gallery, click the More drop-down arrow. (If the shape you want is already visible, you can choose it without clicking the More arrow first.)
Choose a line, shape, or graph.
On the page, drag with a pen device, mouse, or your finger to draw the line, shape, or graph. (To draw with your finger, you must first click Draw With Touch on the Draw tab.)
To change the thickness and color of a free-form line or shape, select it and then, on the mini-toolbar that appears, click Pen Properties. In the Color & Thickness dialog box that opens, choose a different thickness and line color.
