When lines, shapes, images, and note containers overlap, you can specify which is on top by using an Arrange command on the Draw tab. Objects on a OneNote 2013 page that overlap one another are arranged similar to a stack of plates; their position in the stack determines how much of the object is seen.
For example, if a square and an image overlap, the object on top of the stack is seen fully, and the object at the bottom is covered up, partially or fully, by the object on top.
Start by selecting the line, shape, image, or note container that you want to move up or down in a stack of overlapping items. Then, you can move the object up or down one position in the stack, or all the way to the top or bottom.
On the ribbon, click the Draw tab.
In the Tools group, click Type or Lasso Select.
Select a line, shape, image, or note container in a stack of items.
In the Edit group, click Arrange.
Choose how to move the object in the stack:
Bring Forward . Raises the item one layer in the stack
Bring to Front . Moves the item to the top of the stack
Send Backward . Lowers the item by one layer in the stack
Send to Back . Moves the item to the bottom of the stack
Often, you have to repeat the Arrange command until the object is where you want it to be in the stack.
