Transferring a notebook to another computer

A OneNote 2013 notebook is composed of different section files (.one), one for each section. Because transferring all those section files to another computer would be difficult, OneNote provides a special file format for transferring notebooks between computers. The file format is called OneNote Package (*.onepkg).

To transfer a notebook to another computer, first save it as a OneNote Package file. Then, move or copy this file to the second computer and open it there. When you open the file, OneNote converts the OneNote Package file to a OneNote 2013 notebook.
